Access Into Grace Part 5 | Think On These Things

In the final episode of the series, Pastor John-Mark Bartlett reminds listeners that the proof of our salvation lies in the work God is doing in us through sanctification. When God declared us righteous in Christ, He didn’t just justify us—He started the process of shaping us into His image. As believers, we’re called to let Christ’s life take over every part of us, but it’s a work only the Holy Spirit can do in us.
The episode also emphasizes the importance of standing in grace. Once we’re justified, our standing before God is secure. This grace isn’t something we earn—it’s entirely through God’s work. All of God’s promises come from this grace, and they’re ours for eternity. We can approach God with confidence, knowing our access to Him is permanent, thanks to Christ’s finished work.

Access Into Grace Part 4 | Think On These Things

Drawing from Hebrews 4:14-16, Pastor John-Mark Bartlett dives into the power of access to God and explains how Jesus understands our weaknesses and is always approachable. Pastor Bartlett contrasts this with the Old Testament, where access to God was highly restricted. Only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies, and even then, only once a year. But because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross, all believers now have direct access to God’s throne of grace.

Access Into Grace Part 3 | Think On These Things

Pastor John-Mark Bartlett began this episode by telling a story from the late American pastor Donald Barnhouse to explain our access to Christ. The story comes from a conversation Pastor Barnhouse had with a priest who suggested praying to saints for intercession, but he responded with this analogy: A president’s son always has direct access to his father without needing a middleman. He emphasized that, as a child of God, he has the same direct access to the Father without any intercessors.
Throughout this episode, we’ll learn that this access, secured through justification, allows believers to approach God boldly, assured of His favor and grace. Hebrews 4:14-16 emphasizes that because Christ’s atoning work is complete, believers can confidently approach God’s throne of grace, knowing their sins are forgiven and they are declared righteous in Christ.

Access Into Grace Part 2 | Think On These Things

Part 2 of this series “access to grace” is a lesson on the powerful truths of peace with God and the access we now have to Him through Jesus Christ. In this episode, Pastor John-Mark Bartlett explores the biblical concept of peace “Shalom” which is more than just an end to conflict but a lasting, complete state of well-being that believers can never lose. Through justification in Christ, we are permanently at peace with God.

What are the benefits of justifications that we possess? 
In this week’s episode of Think on These Things, Pastor John-Mark Bartlett leads us in a series on the topic “Access into Grace.” We will explore the benefits of justification by faith from Romans 5:1-2, where Paul emphasizes that, through justification, believers are granted peace with God and access to His grace. This peace signifies the end of the conflict between God and the believer, as Jesus Christ’s sacrifice ensures that they are seen as perfectly righteous before God. We also discuss how, according to Hebrews 10:14-17, Christ’s single sacrifice has perfected believers forever, securing their complete salvation. The work of salvation is fully accomplished, and the Holy Spirit affirms that believers' sins are forgiven and no longer remembered, offering a permanent and unshakeable relationship with God.

His holiness reflects absolute moral purity, separating Him from sin and inspiring believers to strive for holiness. Christians are called to embody God's patience and holiness as part of their spiritual growth.

Who Is My Mother? Pt. 4 | Lesson 66 | Bible Study

In Galatians 4:25-29, Paul contrasts two covenants through allegory: Hagar represents the Mosaic Law and bondage, while Sarah symbolizes the covenant of grace and freedom. Earthly Jerusalem is linked to slavery, but the heavenly Jerusalem, Sarah's counterpart, represents salvation through faith. Paul assures believers, as children of promise like Isaac, that they are free in Christ and should reject the bondage of legalism. He also highlights the ongoing conflict between those born of the flesh, like Ishmael, and those born of the Spirit, urging believers to live by faith and grace.

Matthew 1:18–25 highlights Joseph’s acceptance of Mary and the child conceived by the Holy Spirit, reflecting his obedience and faith in God's plan. Luke 1:26–38 captures Mary’s encounter with the angel Gabriel, revealing her humble yet faithful acceptance of God's favor and the miraculous conception of Jesus. Together, these passages emphasize that God's gift of Jesus, the Savior, is an intentional act of love meant to redeem and transform lives, making it the most acceptable and cherished gift of all.
