In today’s episode of Walking in Humility, we examine the danger of worship that honors God with words while the heart remains untouched. Jesus warns that outward religion and human tradition can mask a proud, unsubmitted heart. Pride blinds the soul, allowing sin to remain hidden while giving a false sense of spirituality. True worship begins when self is dethroned and the light of God is welcomed to search and transform us.

Isaiah 42:3 presents the Messiah, Jesus Christ, as God’s gentle Servant who shows deep compassion toward the weak, broken, and discouraged, pictured as a bruised reed and a faintly burning wick. Rather than discarding those crushed by sin, suffering, or failure, Christ preserves, restores, and renews them with mercy and grace. The passage assures believers that their worth and security rest not in their strength but in God’s choosing, Christ’s redemption, and the Spirit’s sustaining work. Ultimately, the Servant faithfully establishes justice while tenderly caring for even the weakest of His people.
