This lesson explores God’s incommunicable attributes, or qualities He does not share with creation. First, God’s *independence* means He is self-existent, needing nothing from creation, though He delights in it. His *unchangeableness*, or immutability, indicates He remains constant in character, purposes, and promises, though He responds uniquely to situations. His *eternalness* shows He exists beyond time, viewing all moments equally vividly. *Omnipresence* reveals God’s limitless presence across space, yet He interacts uniquely in different places. Finally, God’s *unity* suggests He is not divided into parts; each attribute, such as love and justice, reflects His unified nature, demonstrating His simplicity and wholeness. Together, these characteristics underscore God’s unique and incomprehensible nature.

God's attributes of unchangeableness and eternity are fundamental to understanding his nature and our relationship with him. His unchangeableness means that God remains constant in his being, perfections, purposes, and promises, ensuring that we can rely on his goodness and faithfulness. His eternity signifies that God has no beginning or end and experiences no succession of moments. He perceives all time equally, while still interacting with us within our time-bound existence. Although our experience of eternal life will involve the passage of time, it will be unending. Grasping these attributes deepens our trust in God's steadfast love and care throughout eternity.
