Isaiah 9:6-7 and John 3:16 highlight the ultimate gift given to humanity: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came for us as a demonstration of God’s boundless love. His life, death, and resurrection were foretold as a mission “for us,” fulfilling prophecies and embodying the ultimate sacrifice. Through His gift, Christ brought eternal life, forgiveness of sins, and adoption into God’s family, transforming our status from strangers to heirs. This profound act of love—God giving His only Son for the redemption of humanity—remains the eternal gift that offers life and hope to all who believe.

As we continue to look at the Furnace of Christian Suffering, it is inevitable for suffering to be a part of the Christian life, serving as a refining process by God to mould believers into the image of Christ. Just as a goldsmith refines gold in fire until it reflects his image, God uses suffering to reveal Christ's character in us. Ultimately, God's priority is not the quantity of our work but the Christ-like quality of our lives.
