The Doctrine of God - Lesson 9 | Grow In Grace

In this lesson, the focus is on God's communicable moral attributes, specifically His goodness, love, mercy, and grace. God's goodness, as the ultimate standard, encompasses all His actions and being, and is reflected in attributes like love, which is His eternal giving of Himself for the benefit of others, exemplified supremely in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Mercy represents God's goodness towards those in misery, while grace signifies His unmerited favor towards sinners deserving punishment, both freely given and foundational to salvation and Christian living. Believers are called to imitate these attributes by showing goodness, mercy, and love to others, rooted in faith and reliance on God's transformative grace.
