Pressing Toward The Mark Part 4 | Think On These Things

What good is a runner in a race if he focuses on what is behind him? It is important for us not to be consumed by our past but instead focus on our present and future. Paul makes it clear that we must forget what is behind us and look towards the future.

 

Pastor Bartlett begins our exploration of the essential of Direction. He explains the scripture Jeremiah 31:34, "...for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” and uses the story of Joseph and his brothers to illustrate the importance of not allowing the past to influence our decisions. It is important that in our Christian journey, we do not allow ourselves to become complacent by past success, causing us to lose sight of the direction we should be heading in.
