The Lord Has Done Great Things For Us, And We Are Glad | Sunday Sermon

Psalm 126 reflects on God’s deliverance of His people from captivity, a restoration so astonishing that it felt like a dream, leading to laughter and songs of joy. The nations around them recognized that only God could have done such great things, and the people rejoiced in His goodness. Yet the psalm also becomes a prayer for God to restore again, like streams reviving a desert, acknowledging that His work of renewal is ongoing. Finally, it gives hope that those who sow in tears—enduring hardship and labor—will one day reap in joy, bringing in a harvest by God’s grace.
