The Fruit Of The Spirit Pt. 3 | Lesson 87 | Bible Study

This lesson explains that the “fruit of the Spirit” in Galatians 5:22–23 is not nine separate fruits, but one fruit expressed in nine qualities, which together reveal the life of Christ in believers through the Spirit’s work. The first and foundational quality is love (agapé), a selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love that reflects God’s own nature and is the fountainhead of all the other virtues. This love is expressed in obedience to God, care for fellow believers, kindness toward neighbors, and even love for enemies, showing that authentic Christianity is rooted in sacrificial love. Importantly, God not only commands this love but also enables it, pouring His love into believers’ hearts through the Holy Spirit, so they can live out the gospel in power and truth.
