Reconcilliation & Church Discipline Pt. 4 | Sunday Sermon

This teaching emphasizes that church discipline, based on Matthew 18:15–20, is a biblical process rooted in love, training, and restoration, not punishment. It begins privately, where an offended believer is called to confront the offender directly in hopes of reconciliation. If that fails, one or two spiritually mature witnesses are brought in to confirm the facts and encourage repentance. The ultimate goal throughout is not to win an argument but to restore fellowship, preserve the purity of the church, and “gain a brother or sister” back to the Lord.
