Paul's Phobia | Lesson 58 | Bible Study

Paul is urging the Galatians to abandon their return to legalistic practices and remain faithful to the gospel of grace through Christ. He reminds them that before knowing God, they were enslaved to false gods, and now that they are known by God, it makes no sense to revert to the weak and worthless principles of the world, which can neither save nor grant spiritual growth. Observing religious rituals and calendars, as promoted by the Judaizers, is futile if done for salvation or spiritual merit. Paul fears that his labor among them may be in vain if they continue down this path of legalism, emphasizing that their salvation and sanctification depend solely on grace and not on adherence to the law.
