One Thing: Desired | Sunday Sermon

The message centered on Psalm 27:4, emphasizing that in the midst of fear, anxiety, and life’s many distractions, David desired one thing above all else: to dwell in the presence of God and behold His beauty. It highlighted that biblical figures like David, Abraham, and Moses were deeply flawed people whose faith and strength came only through God’s mercy and continual grace, making them relatable examples rather than unreachable heroes. The sermon traced David’s life through his victories, failures, sins, and restorations to show that despite his weaknesses, his heart remained fixed on pursuing God above everything else. Ultimately, the lesson taught that believers today have even greater access to God through Christ, and are called not merely to visit His presence occasionally, but to live daily in intimate fellowship, worship, and dependence on Him.
