Angelology - Lesson 14 | Grow in Grace
The lesson explains that while Satan and demons can influence the world and sometimes intensify sinful behavior, not all sin is directly caused by demonic activity. Believers may become more vulnerable to demonic influence when they persist in patterns of sin, but the primary responsibility for sin still rests with the individual. The study argues that the Bible does not support the idea that genuine believers can be fully “demon possessed,” since the original Greek language speaks more about demonic influence rather than ownership or possession. Biblical examples such as King Saul and the woman with a disabling spirit suggest severe affliction or influence but do not clearly demonstrate a true believer being indwelt by a demon.
